Sneekweek 2026 – Zeilen, Muziek & Stadsevents

Sneekweek 2026 takes place from Friday 31 July to Thursday 6 August 2026 and turns Sneek into a week‑long celebration on and around the water. By day, recognized sailing classes compete on the Sneekermeer with the Starteiland as bustling hub; by evening, the city comes alive with live music across multiple squares — seven stages are highlighted in the 2026 preview — giving partygoers a broad mix of styles. The program features family‑friendly activities such as a rubber boat race through the canals, street theater, a children’s afternoon and beach volleyball. On Wednesday, the Hardzeildag braderie transforms the centre into an open‑air market, and throughout the week there’s the Sneekweek fairground (kermis) on the Martiniplein. The organization presents Sneekweek as Europe’s largest inland‑water sailing event and notes that city festivities are freely accessible.
